Have you ever traveled to a tournament, committed the time, the energy and the resources, just have your players completely discouraged or even embarrassed by lopsided competition?  Here is a great opportunity to travel with your team and be able to actually compete on an equal playing field with other other teams at your level.  This extremely popular event that draws club teams from all across the tri-state area seeking the ultimate "club" level competitive soccer tournament. The tournament is formatted exactly like the Pocono Cup Premier event and requires the same demanding and exciting schedule - but at a "club" level.

This tournament is designed specifically for club and travel recreational teams looking to grow as a group and gain valuable tournament experience.  In that spirit, acceptance is restricted to those teams playing at a "club" level within their individual leagues.  A proof of playing ability will be required with each team application. Tournament play will be separated into 2 flights (Flt 1, Flt 2) based on their current league rankings (see below for requirements).  This tournament maintains a 3 guest player policy on all team rosters.  Guest players are required to be carded with a team at the same level (or below) as they guest playing with.  Proof of the guest players originating team is required.

This tournament, by definition, is to promote the growth and sportsmanship of club play.

Each team is guaranteed 4 preliminary matches with the opportunity to advance to playoff and final rounds.  A maximum of 6 games will be played.  Each game is refereed by a 3 man system for all full sided matches.  Only the best referees are asked to return the following year.  Bracketing is determined by the number of teams that apply at each age group.  Scheduling is usually made 1 week prior to the event and done by committee blind draw.  However, teams will be separated in preliminary matches (when possible) by state and league play.

Tournament scoring is based on a points system:

3 points are awarded for a win and 1 point is awarded for a tie.  Team and individual awards are given to all those making the playoffs.

Proof of "Club" Status Definition:

Teams that are ranked in the top half of their leagues will be placed in flight 1. Teams that ranked in the middle or near the bottom will be placed in flight 2.   The general rule is as follows: Divide the entire age group of your league play in 1/2, the top half being the "1st" flight and the bottom half being the "2nd" flight.  Example: League ABC - U-12 boys has 6 divisions containing 10 teams each (Div. 1,2,3,4,5,6) and they are ranked by past performance.  The tournament will accept all the teams in divisions 4,5,6 as a Flight 2 teams and consider the teams in divisions 1,2,3 as Flight 1 teams.  Club teams dominating their home league play will be considered "premier" teams and will be denied acceptance to this tournament.  Other criteria that is considered will be league strength, roster size, team history and past tournament performances.  The Tournament Committee will review each application and consider all factors for establishing team status and have the final decision on placement.  For further information, please contact the tournament office.

A letter from the coach or a copy of the league standings must accompany the application.

The tournament is open to Boys and Girls teams ages U-9 (boys), U-10, U-11, U-12, U-13, U14, 15 (boys)
