Pocono Cup "B" Division Soccer Tournament

  Mother Nature provided perfect soccer playing conditions and every team provided loads of exciting action for all of us to watch.  The matches in every group were exciting and a thrill to be apart of.  These "home town teams" fought for respect all weekend long and proved themselves to be true competitors.

We are very proud to recognize the club from West Babylon for providing many of the highlights and coming home with some of our beloved hardware.  The U12 and U13 girls proved themselves in their final matches as they won respectively and showed true sportsmanship.  Great job girls.

The Under 9 Boys final between Lansing and Middle Country could not have been more entertaining.  These little guys poured their hearts out and gave this final match everything they had.  The energy and speed was there for 50 minutes strong.  These are two teams that are going places.

The U 14 Boys bracket provided some of the best action all weekend long.  In the Semi Finals, Lionville played with only 2 subs in their 3rd game of the Sunday matches.  They fought hard though overtime but lost to Bayport by a beautiful shot from 25 yards out - a tournament moment.  Bayport moved on and challenged a great team from Syosset.  The match was impressive and intense.  Bayport shined and won 4-2.

Congratulations to all the Champions and the Runner-Ups.  Your performance and effort was nothing short of the best.
